Blood Drive Set For Gloucester Township Library
A blood drive will take place at the Gloucester Township Library as the American Red Cross seeks an end to its summer blood shortage.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A blood drive will take place at the Gloucester Township Library as the American Red Cross seeks an end to its summer blood shortage. The drive will take place on Monday, Aug. 26, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The library is located at 15 South Black Horse Pike in the Blackwood section of the township.
While thousands of donors have rolled up a sleeve this summer, blood and platelet donations aren’t keeping pace with patient needs, according to the American Red Cross. It said more donations are urgently needed to replenish the blood supply and be prepared for patient emergencies.
Make an appointment to donate blood now by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
