Bomb Threat At South Jersey Walgreens Closes Nearby Businesses, Roads
Evesham police said the threat aimed at the Burlington County business was one of several received by South Jersey Walgreens stores.

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — A bomb threat at a Burlington County Walgreens prompted authorities to evacuate and close several businesses Thursday while police investigated.
Police in Evesham said officers were called to a Walgreens located on Route 73 shortly after 11:30 a.m. after a person contacted the business and said an explosive device was inside the store.
When officers arrived, they evacuated the store and nearby businesses. Route 73 was also closed due to its proximity to the store, police said.

The building was searched by officers and a police canine from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department. No explosive was found, police said.
Following an investigation, police said the threat was one of six received by Walgreens stores in South Jersey and 20 received at stores nationwide.

Police are working to identify the person who made the threat. The incident remains under investigation.
