Beware of Advocates
From feminism to the NAACP, advocates always overstay their welcome and do more harm to the people they have protected.

Have you ever read Franz Kafka's The Trial? It's an intangible masterpiece written in 1925 that foreshadowed the horrors perpetrated by the governments of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union and so on. It depicts a seemingly harmless and conscientious man who is being accused and tried for a crime he most likely did not commit. The crime is never revealed, and he is eventually sentenced to death and unceremoniously executed. The point of the work is to show the tragedy for people trapped in social systems that are relentlessly committed to utilitarian bureaucracy and incidental social Darwinism.
One of the main themes of this work is the relationship between the accused and their lawyer, or advocate. The advocate keeps the accused in a constant state of worry about the outcome of their case while living a lavish lifestyle keeping their clients as slaves. Clearly the advocates learned how to work within the system to transform victims into dogs that pull the sleigh carrying their ego.
Beware of advocates.

All too often the people that set out to relentlessly support a cause end up harming it more in the long run because they don’t know when to stop. For example, the NAACP was created to defend the God-given rights of African Americans living in this country. However, their stay has exceeded their welcome due to their biased and prejudicial defense of people like Crystal Mangum, who attempted to destroy the lives of three Duke lacrosse players by claiming they raped her. Here we had a black female accusing three white men of rape who eventually admitted she was lying. This is only one case of a 10-mile long history of the NAACP acting to further alienate black people from the mainstream of contemporary America by shielding them as if they were inept. Apparently if white people are attacked and brutally killed like the case of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, their defense goes only as far as the District Attorney. However, when black people are allegedly victimized, several obviously racist groups step forward with pro-black agendas that continue to widen the gulf between black and white.
The feminist movement was critical in the interest of women gaining their right to vote, work and earn equal pay. However, the continued and seemingly unjustified overzealous actions of the feminist movement over the years has now forced the hand of the American system to require that men and women living with one another are now both forced to work out of economic necessity. Once upon a time women could make the decision to be stay-at-home moms where now they may have no choice but to allow strangers to raise their children for hundreds of dollars a month.

I am a military veteran, and there are far too many veteran "advocates" supposedly protecting my rights. The Post 9/11 GI Bill is a beautiful thing which updated the standard GI Bill to be equal in cash value to the benefits WWII veterans received when they were honorably discharged from service. However, the advocates are at it once again. They always seem to overstay their welcome and see injustices where none exist. And the result is always the separation between normal people, and the so-called victims the advocates support.
For years now veterans' advocates have been preaching that the unemployment rate for returning veterans is higher than civilians. While that is true, it is important to know why rather than claiming there is some kind of discriminatory conspiracy at work, which is what the veterans' advocates are doing. I happen to know that nearly all of my friends returned from service and did three things:
- Claimed unemployment valued at about $750/week
- Began collecting the GI Bill valued at about $1,700/month and doesn't expire for four years
- Began working under-the-table jobs valued at about $400/week
Do you need a calculator to figure out that veterans have it very good when they return? With unemployment and the GI Bill, we don't technically need a job for at least four years. Did I mention we can go to any college of our choice for free? But the advocates see there is an imbalance between veteran and civilian unemployment and they don't hesitate to pick up a megaphone. I'd say many advocates can be compared to a dog that barks whenever the doorbell is rung. Yes, there is the slight chance there may be a threat out there waiting to harm mommy and daddy; however, always take a look out the window first. After all, most times there is simply nothing to bark at, and eventually people are going to stop coming over.
