N.J. Mental Hospital Escapee Captured
Panagioto Souris was captured Saturday afternoon.
A man who escaped from the Bayside State Prison facility at Ancora Hospital Saturday morning has been captured, Winslow Township Police said.
Panagioti Souris, 43, was discovered missing around 6 a.m.
He was captured in Philadelphia, The Press of Atlantic City reports. Authorities didn’t say where in the city he was captured.

Ancora Hospital is located in Hammonton on Spring Garden Road. Following his escape, he was reportedly seen along Beebetown Road in Winslow Township heading toward the Sherry Lyn Woods Development.
The Department of Corrections first employed a K-9 search of the area before local police joined the search, according to the report.

NBC10 reports he was serving a maximum sentence of five years on two counts of heroin charges at a minimum-security prison operated by Bayside State Prison on the hospital’s property.
He now faces another 3-5 years in prison, according to the Courier Post.
