Broadway For Kids Coming to Blackwood This Week

Broadway comes to Blackwood as Mainstage Center for the Arts’ Summer Stage presents Broadway for Kids, Aug. 6-8. This musical revue treats audiences to an exciting mix of Broadway songs and dance presented by a cast of nearly 200.

This high-energy performance includes songs from Matilda, Aladdin, Singing in the Rain, Mary Poppins, Shrek, Peter Pan, and Wicked. Some numbers are done by the full company and others are presented by smaller groups representing the three casts from the 2014 Summer Stage Children’s Theatre season. Broadway for Kids is sponsored by Lees Productions.

“With great songs from popular Broadway shows, this performance will delight audiences of all ages,” said Anne Marie Weaver, Mainstage Center for the Arts’ Special Projects Director.

Broadway for Kids’ performances take place August 6 and 7, 7:30 pm; and Friday, August 8 a10:30 am at Lincoln Hall, Dennis Flyer Theatre, Camden County College, Blackwood, NJ.
