Camden County College Names New VP Of Academic Affairs

Dr. David Edwards has community college experience in Mercer, Middlesex and Hudson counties.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Dr. David Edwards has been appointed to the position of vice president of academic affairs at Camden County College, effective Nov. 1, college officials announced on Wednesday. He was appointed by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Edwards has had a wealth of experience at other New Jersey community colleges.

He was the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Mercer County College for the last four years. Before that, he was the dean of arts and sciences at Middlesex County College and the dean of instruction at Hudson County Community College.

“We are extremely pleased to have someone with such relevant background and experience to assist us during these challenging times in higher education,” Camden County College President Donald A. Borden said.

Edwards was named a finalist from a selection committee representing a large segment of the college, and was interviewed by the executive staff. He then met the members of the college community at a public forum.
