Camden County College Offers Training For Welding Jobs At Holtec
On-site interviews are set for Sept. 23.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Camden County College is offering a 210-hour welding course to help students gain the skills needed for entry-level welding jobs at Holtec International in Camden, county officials said.
The program is for unemployed people interested in a welding job at the Holtec site in Camden. No prior experience is necessary.
Training topics include welding technology and blueprint reading, flux cored arc welding and gas metal arc welding.

“This initiative will provide anyone looking for a highly sought-after skillset and a good paying job an instant opportunity and access into the workforce,” Camden County Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell said. “This new technology campus will be hiring hundreds of new employees to officially start manufacturing next year ultimately becoming the county’s largest employer over the next decade.”
Applicants must have a high school degree or equivalent, and must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

They must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and have the ability to bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb and carry various materials, tools and equipment.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to expand their horizons and work at a world-class facility building the future of nuclear generation and storage,” McDonnell said. “Holtec is one of two companies in the nation that do this work and these positions will play important role in building the world’s energy infrastructure right here in Camden City.”
On-site interviews will take place on Sept. 23, 10 a.m. at the Camden County One Stop Resource Center, 2600 Mt. Ephraim Avenue, Suite 105, Camden, New Jersey.
