Car Thieves Flee, Then Caught In Berlin Borough, Police Say
The individuals arrested are from Camden County, according to police.
BERLIN BOROUGH, NJ — Two people were charged after stealing a car and leading police on a chase through Berlin Borough on Aug. 27, law enforcement officials said.
The two people were in a vehicle near White Horse Pike and Estaugh Avenue in the borough when a police officer ascertained the vehicle was stolen from Pennsylvania, according to law enforcement officials.
The police officer tried unsuccessfully to get the vehicle to pull over and "a short pursuit was initiated where the driver fled from police," law enforcement officials said.

The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Route 73 near Prospect Avenue, according to law enforcement officials.
The driver and passenger —Rodney Taylor of Oaklyn and Khishawn Green of Camden — were both charged with receiving stolen property, law enforcement officials said.

Green was also charged with eluding and possessing a controlled dangerous substance, according to law enforcement officials.
The stolen vehicle was ultimately returned to its owner, law enforcement officials said.
