Celebrate Christmas In Gloucester Township With Three Upcoming Events

The Blackwood Fire Company Parade, Brunch With Santa and the Tree Lighting Ceremony all take place in the first 2 weeks of December.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- It’s Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas is right around the corner.

Three upcoming events celebrate the biggest holiday of the year for children throughout America in Gloucester Township in the coming weeks. Here’s a look at a few of the events:

The 28th annual Blackwood Fire Company Christmas Parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 3, 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

The parade will begin at the intersection of Black Horse Pike and Church Street, and proceed south to the Gloucester Township Outlets where there will be an open house with Santa.

Along with a visit from Santa, there will be a Christmas Tree lighting, free Starbucks hot chocolate, and much more.

Anyone who misses Santa at the parade will have the chance to have brunch with the big guy on Saturday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m.-noon at the Gloucester Township Recreation Center, 1261 Chews Landing Road.

There will be bagels, donuts and refreshments.The event is free, but residents are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and are invited to bring their cameras to get picture with Santa.

The following night, Sunday, Dec. 11, is the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Veterans Park on Chews Landing Road. The entertaintment will be provided by MainStage Center for the Arts.
