Clementon Resident Collecting Buddies for Blue for the GTPD

Clementon resident Kimmi Champion is looking to donate 100 stuffed “buddies” to the Gloucester Township Police Department this holiday season.

Champion is collecting donations through the Facebook page “Buddies for Blue.”

She is asking for help from the community. For a $25 tax-deductible donation, residents can donate a buddy of their choice to the police department with a scent pak.

“These buddies will be used to help children during uncomfortable times such as house fires, auto accidents, domestic concerns, Christmas gifts and more,” Champion says on her page. “I am using any profit that I earn on commission to purchase even more buddies for the PD. You can donate as a resident, concerned person or a business owner.”

She said she will hang a tag from their necks with the donator’s name.
