Click It Or Ticket In Gloucester Township In November, Police Say
Gloucester Township police are participating in the national Click It Or Ticket campaign from Nov. 9-29.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police are participating in the national Click It Or Ticket campaign from Nov. 9-29. Click It Or Ticket aims at enforcing seat belt use to help keep travelers safe as they drive to their destinations.
“Wear your seat belt every time, no matter how uncomfortable it feels or how far you're going,” police said in a statement. “The safest choice you can make as a driver or passenger is to buckle up.
“No matter what type of vehicle you drive, wearing your seat belt is the best defense against impaired, aggressive and distracted drivers. Even if your car has airbags, the safest way to ride is properly buckled up. Always place the shoulder belt across the middle of your chest and away from your neck, and place the lap belt across your hips, not your stomach. You should never put the shoulder belt behind your back or under your arm. When purchasing a new car, be sure to check that its seat belts fit you. And remember: every trip, every time, buckle up.”
