Colored markers and a Micro pen earn soccer fan $500 in credit card design contest

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. ­– Veronica Kelly, a Philadelphia Union season ticketholder, combined her artistic skills and passion for soccer to win $500 in the 2017 Philadelphia Union Card Design Contest held jointly with TruMark Financial^® Credit Union.

The credit union, the official financial institution of the Philadelphia Union and Talen Energy Stadium, recognized Kelly on Saturday, May 6, during the pre-game warm-ups at the rivalry match between the Philadelphia Union and New York Red Bulls. Her winning entry, created in Prismacolor markers, Micro pen, and Photoshop, will be offered as one of the credit union’s available credit/debit card design options.

TruMark Financial staff members selected six finalists from the dozens of entries submitted. Credit union members and Philadelphia Union fans voted for their favorite design on TruMark Financial’s Facebook page and a poll hosted by the Philadelphia Union. Kelly’s design received approximately 6,500 votes out of more than 12,500 total votes.
