Cop Battling Cancer Buoyed By Gloucester Fundraiser

A cornhole fundraiser is being held this weekend to help Special Police Officer Duane Gillespie.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A cornhole fundraiser will be held Saturday to help the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Police Officer Duane Gillespie with his medical bills, according to that municipality's police department.

The 21-year-old was recently diagnosed with non-Hopkins lymphoma cancer, the police department said.

The "Duane Support Squad Corn Hole Tournament" starts Saturday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at the Gloucester Township Democrat Club on Coles Road, the police department also said.
