Country Music Star From N.J. To Perform In Gloucester Township

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Clayton vocalist who made her debut in the music city is coming to Gloucester Township Monday night.

Sherry Lynn will perform as part of the Gloucester Township Summer Concert Series at Veterans Park on Monday night, Aug. 21, 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Veterans Park is located at 1261 Chews Landing Road. The event is free.

“It all seems unreal sometimes,” Lynn said in an online posting for the event. “You go on a show like that and it reaches so many people it’s crazy. In reality, I’m a mom with five kids and I still do all the things that ‘regular’ folks do. I just happen to sing for a living.”

Lynn splits her time between New Jersey and Nashville, Tennessee, where she made Grand Ole Opry debut in 2013.

“I do have to be in Nashville quite a bit,” Lynn said. “But I do still love to play for the ‘hometown’ crowds.”

In fact, she recently performed back at the Historic Broadway Theatre in Pitman, New Jersey with Tanya Tucker. Her first concert was at the Historic Broadway Theatre back in 2007.
