Girl, 14, Hit By Car While Getting Off Bus In Gloucester Twp: PD
A girl was hit by a car while getting off a school bus Tuesday night, Gloucester Township police said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 14-year-old girl was hit by a car while getting off a school bus in Gloucester Township Tuesday night, police said.
Gloucester Township police responded to the area of Kearsley Road at Cedar Grove Drive in the Sicklerville section of the township for a report of teenager struck by a vehicle at about 7:25 p.m.
She had been getting off a Camden County Technical School bus, and she was hit by a Kia Forte as she was crossing the street, police said.

Arriving officers found her laying in the road with a leg injury. She was taken by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment, police said.
The driver remained on scene after the crash. The identities of the teenager and the driver weren't released Tuesday night.

Kearsley Road was closed between Persia Court and Cross Keys Road during the initial investigation.
It remains unclear how the accident happened, but police are reminding drivers that traffic must come to a stop in both directions no less than 25 feet from a school bus when its red lights are flashing. Under state law, drivers must remain stopped until the red lights are turned off.
