Pedestrian Struck By Car In Gloucester Township: Police
The person is in critical condition after being hit by a car near Hickstown Road Tuesday afternoon.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a car near Hickstown Road Tuesday afternoon, Gloucester Township police said.
Police were dispatched to the area of Hickstown Road near Little Mill Road for a report of a pedestrian who was unconscious after being hit by a car at about 2:09 p.m. on March 5, police said.
Police found the person laying in the road suffering from serious injuries. Gloucester Township Fire and EMS worked with Virtua ALS to render medical aid to the pedestrian, who was transported via medical helicopter to Cooper University Hospital.

The pedestrian, who was not identified, is listed in critical condition. The driver, who was also not identified, remained on the scene with the pedestrian until police arrived, police said.
The crash is being investigated by the Gloucester Township Police Department's Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT).

Hickstown Road was closed for about two hours between Erial Road and Little Mill Road during the initial phases of the investigation.
