'Critical' Road Work Starts Monday In Gloucester Twp: Official

The project may take about 6 months to complete, a Camden County Commissioner said.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Road work in Gloucester and Winslow townships that may last up to 6 months starts Monday, a Camden County Commissioner said.

The $2 million project on part of Sicklerville Road consists of the following tasks, according to Camden County:

  • improving drainage by installing pipes, inlets, concrete curbs, driveway aprons, paving, roadway striping and raising reflective pavement markers from Chews Landing to Cross Keys roads
  • installing handicap ramps, pedestrian crossing push buttons and traffic imaging cameras at Chews Landing/Kali and Berlin/Cross Keys roads

"It is critical for the department of public works to identify roadways to improve and enhance throughout the county," Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer said. "When this work is finished it will provide a better quality of life for our community.”
