Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver In South Jersey Pedestrian Accident Thursday

The vehicle, believed to be a dark gray Honda Civic, will have damage on the passenger side according to police in Gloucester County.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A pedestrian had minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Thursday morning, and police in Gloucester County are looking for the driver.

Monroe Township Police said the pedestrian was walking on New Brooklyn Road near Winslow Road at 6:45 a.m. when they were hit by a car. Police believe the car, which they say did not stop, is a dark gray Honda Civic made between 2012 and 2015.

Police did not say if first responders took the pedestrian to the hospital, and said their injuries were minor.

The suspect vehicle went eastbound on New Brooklyn Road, police said. There would be damage on the passenger side of the vehicle including a broken or missing mirror, said police.

The MTPD asks anyone with information on the identity of the driver or the location of the car to contact Ptl. Ryan Hoffman of the MTPD Traffic Safety Unit at 856-728-9800 ext. 238.
