GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — New Jersey's Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 6, and there are several ways to cast your ballot. In Gloucester Township, that means voting in-person on Tuesday, early voting or voting by mail.

Township residents will vote on several positions in local, county and state government.

The township has several contested primaries: the Republican races for State Senate and Assembly and the Democratic contest for the Board of County Commissioners.

  • State Senate: State Assembly Member Paul D. Moriarty is running unopposed on the Democratic ticket to represent New Jersey's 4th Legislative District in the State Senate. The Republican side features a contest between Christopher W. DelBorrello and Nick DeSilvio.
  • State Assembly: The GOP has five candidates on three different slates for the two available NJ-4 seats. The candidates include Matthew P. Walker and Amanda Esposito (both running with DelBorrello), Denise Gonzalez and Michael Clark (DeSilvio's ticket) and John M. Keating (running without running mates). The Democratic Party has an uncontested Assembly primary with Dan Hutchison, a Gloucester Township Council member, and Cody D. Miller
  • Board of Camden County Commissioners: Two seats are available, with a contested primary on the Democratic side. Incumbent candidates Louis Cappelli, Jr. and Jonathan L. Young, Sr. will face the South Jersey Progressive Democrats ticket, which features Kate Delaney and Samuel E. Sweet. The Republican candidates are Jason Fanning and Norman C. Rebel, Jr.
  • Township Council: Four council seats are up for grabs, but neither primary is contested. The Republican slate includes Joseph F. Damico, III; Joseph L. Allen, Jr.; Raymond E. Henry, Jr.; and Timothy J. Pfeffer. The Democratic ticket features Orlando Mercado, Michael Mignone, Tara Lynn Walters and James Joseph Nash, III. Mercado and Mignone are incumbent candidates.
  • County Committee: The ballot features an uncontested primary featuring the Camden County Democratic Committee's ticket.
