Elvis Impersonator To Perform Valentine's Day Mass Wedding In NJ
Adelphia will host a free mass wedding for anyone interested in getting married or renewing their vows on Valentine's Day.
Three years ago, the owners of Adelphia Restaurant in Deptford gave away a wedding to a deserving couple. Now, they’re giving away a mass wedding to anyone who want to tie the knot or renew their vows on Valentine's Day during a ceremony performed by an Elvis impersonator.
The Elvis impersonator will serve as a non-denomination minister to marry the couples, and then serenade the brides, grooms and their friends and families. The affair will be complimentary to all couples getting married, as will any cocktails and hors d'ouvres for the brides and grooms.
The group affair will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Adelphia, 1750 Clements Bridge Road in Deptford, the restaurant announced this week. The cost to attend for guests is $50, which will include a cash bar and passed hors d’oeuvres. Music and flowers will also be provided by Adelphia, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association.

When business partners Bill and Evelyn Balis of Adelphia Restaurant put the word out three years ago that they were offering a free wedding to one lucky couple, thousands of lovebirds replied and told their story to why they deserved a free wedding.
Eventually, a winning couple was chosen, and they requested to be wed on Valentine's Day Weekend. Following that success, the Balis Family said they knew they had to do something again to top that.

“It's the most romantic holiday of the year, it falls on a weekend, and it's the anniversary of the last time we did this, so it made perfect sense to do this,” Evelyn Balis said. "Weddings are one of the biggest things we’re known for at Adelphia, and we wanted to get really creative and figure out a way to include as many people as possible this time around. We hope to see dozens of happy couples tie the knot with us this year, and we're even welcoming any couples who would like to renew their vows. It was such a hit last time and it even made national news, so we really hope anyone looking to get married hears about this and gets the opportunity to get married without breaking the bank."
