Emergency Roadwork In Gloucester Township Begins Tuesday
Part of Lakeland Road will be closed for emergency repairs two days this week.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Lakeland Road will be closed to eastbound traffic between the Black Horse Pike and Woodbury-Turnersville Road in Gloucester Township for emergency roadwork two days this week, Camden County officials announced. It will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and Wednesday, Oct. 2, depending on weather and other unforeseen events.
“Eastbound thru traffic will not be able to access the roadway throughout the duration of this project,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “If you are traveling through or near the construction area, be sure to be extra mindful of sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and any crews or equipment that may end up in the roadway. Motorists should plan their routes accordingly and be prepared for any delays associated with the corresponding detour.”
Westbound traffic will remain open along Lakeland Road while crews are at work. Drivers traveling eastbound will be directed to follow a posted detour using Wilson Road and the Black Horse Pike.
