Family Dog Treated Following House Fire in Gloucester Township

No people were home at the time of the fire, and no emergency responders were injured while combating the blaze.

A family dog was treated at a local Veterinary center after being injured during a fire on the 2100 block of Garwood Road on Saturday, according to Gloucester Township Police.

No people were home at the time of the fire, and no emergency responders were injured while combating the blaze, which was reported at 3:34 p.m.

The dog was rescued by a neighbor.

Garwood Road was closed for about four hours.

Emergency responders from Erial Fire Department, Lambs Terrace Fire Department, Chews Landing Fire Department, Blackwood Fire Department, Pine Hill Fire Department, Lindenwold Fire Department, Winslow Fire Department, and Gloucester Township EMS were on scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Erial Fire Departments Fire Marshals Office.
