Fiery Crash Kills Driver On South Jersey Road, State Police Say
A Cumberland County man is dead after his car hit a tree and caught fire Friday night, state police said.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ — A man is dead after a fiery one-car crash in Cumberland County on Friday night, state police said.
Darrel A. Johnson, 65, of Commercial Township was driving a Dodge Charger westbound on County Road 614/James Moore Road. His car traveled off the roadway near milepost 1.9 at around 11:14 p.m. according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
The car hit a tree and caught fire, causing fatal injuries to Johnson, state police said.

County Road 614 runs from Downe Township to Commercial Township.
Officials did not release any further details about the cause of the crash.
