Fiery Crash Kills Woman In Gloucester Twp.: Police

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A woman died in a fiery crash last weekend in Gloucester Township, authorities said.

Joanne Gilkey, 45, of Bellmawr, was identified as the victim.

At about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Gilkey was driving north on Route 42 when her car left the roadway, according to State Police. Her vehicle struck a sign support and then a tree before catching fire, authorities said.

Gilkey died from her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation as of Monday.
