Floods Close Highways In South Jersey

Update, 8:35 a.m.: The roadways have reopened, according to the NJ Department of Transportation.

SOUTH JERSEY — Two roadways remain closed Tuesday morning because of flooding.

Both closures impact the Brooklawn Circles — a flood-prone area near the Big Timber Creek.

Route 130 is closed in both directions at Route 551 in Brooklawn, according to the NJ Department of Transportation. Meanwhile, Route 47 has been shut down in both directions at Route 130 in Westville.

Detours have been posted for northbound travel, NJDOT says.
