Corrections Officer From Sicklerville Illegally Viewed Case Information: Police

Jamail Danford is allegedly a close friend of a man charged with leading a drug trafficking operation.

A Sicklerville man employed by the Camden County Department of Corrections has been charged with allegedly using a secure law enforcement computer database to view privileged case information relating to a narcotics investigation, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo said on Wednesday.

Jamall Danford, 39, was charged with second-degree official misconduct.

Danford allegedly accessed the database without authorization on various dates between Aug. 26 and Oct. 21.

During this time, he allegedly viewed privileged case information and ran searches on multiple people who were not housed in the Camden County Correctional Facility.

He allegedly is a close friend of 38-year-old Camden man Harold “Killer Clown” Miller. Miller is charged in a narcotics investigation. The two allegedly travelled together, along with others, to Las Vegas, Nevada in June.

Miller and five other men were charged with conspiring to distribute cocaine and heroin in September. Miller was the allegedly the leader of a drug trafficking organization operating an open-air drug market on the 500 block of Pfeiffer Street in Camden.

“My office will continue to investigate and prosecute any public servants who abuse their positions,” Colalillo said. “This investigation was successful due to the cooperation and assistance of Warden David S. Owens Jr. and his staff.”

Danford was remanded to an area jail with bail set at $75,000. He faces up a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in state prison and would forfeit any future public employment if convicted. He has been suspended without pay.
