Fugitive From Pennsylvania Arrested in Gloucester Township: Police
Michael Watson allegedly stole a car in Pennsylvania. He was found hiding in an attic in a Gloucester Township townhouse.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Gloucester Township Police arrested a fugitive from Pennsylvania they found hiding in the attic in a home in the LaCascata Townhomes on Saturday night.
Michael Watson, 32, of Boothwyn, Pa., was charged with being a fugitive from justice, two counts of receiving stolen property and obstruction, Gloucester Township Police said on Monday.
He also faces multiple charges in Pennsylvania and is awaiting extradition at the Camden County Jail. Those charges include larceny, aggravated assault and violating parole.

Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the area of the townhomes around 9:42 p.m. Saturday.
Police allege the vehicle was stolen from Media Pennsylvania, in Upper Providence Township. Watson allegedly stole the keys and the vehicle while burglarizing the home.

Upon arrival, police found the vehicle in a parking lot. A resident told them Watson was in the house and had brought the vehicle with him to her home.
The woman and her two children were removed from their home. Police then entered the home, and ultimately found Watson hiding in the attic.
An officer from the police department’s Crisis Negotiation Team spoke with Watson, who police say was distraught, eventually convincing him to surrender.
Watson was arrested without incident, and no injuries were reported.
