Gas Main Installation In Gloucester Township Begins Wednesday

South Jersey Gas will begin work on Somerdale Road on Wednesday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — South Jersey Gas will begin work on multi-phase gas main installation on Somerdale Road in Somerdale and Gloucester Township on Wednesday, July 24, Camden County officials announced on Tuesday.

One lane of the road will be closed with alternating traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Phase One of construction will take place from July 25-26 on Somerdale Road between West Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Road. Phase Two will take place from July 27-28 on Somerdale Road between Warwick Road and Eaton Place.

“Whenever you are driving through a construction zone, please watch for traffic instructions and be prepared to stop,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “Also, please give yourself extra time to reach your destination due to the lane closure and increased traffic in the area.”
