Gas Main Work In Gloucester Township Begins Tuesday

South Jersey Gas will renew a gas main on Chews Landing Road beginning June 25.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — South Jersey Gas will renew a gas main on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township beginning on Tuesday, June 25, county officials announced.

During work, Chews Landing Road will be closed between Lower Landing Road and Front Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be alternating traffic on Chews Landing Road between Taylor Avenue and King Street.

“Motorists should exercise additional caution while in the area of this construction and remain especially cognizant of debris, crew members, and moving vehicles,” Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “Until this project is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area and take extra caution when driving through the construction zone.”
