Get Out: Celebrate Mom and More

GT Patch has picked seven weekend events for you, mom and the kids to enjoy.

The weekend is here, and it’s time to celebrate Mother’s Day.

If you are looking for something to do that mom will love or you simply need help with your weekend plans, check out the local activities Patch has picked. Choose from a night of jazz, bowling at the library, attending a street fair and more. There’s bound to be an activity that you, mom or the whole family will enjoy.

This week’s Get Out column grabbed ideas from Collingswood, Haddonfield, Moorestown, West Deptford and our very own Gloucester Township Patch events calendars.

  • What’s Going On: The library hosts this fun video game and exercise event for adults often. I had to include it this week, though, because I can’t think of the last time I went bowling with my mom. She’s very active. but real bowling balls are probably too heavy for her to lift now. What better way to have some out-of-the-ordinary fun (either with Mom or flying solo) than midday bowling at the library? I know my mom would get a kick out of this virtual bowling experience.
