Gloucester Township Council To Discuss Construction Office, Traffic Monday Night

Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township Council will consider a pair of proposed ordinances concerning traffic and parking, as well as an ordinance concerning the construction office when it meets Monday night. Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building, 1261 Chews Landing Road.

Council will consider a proposed ordinance on introduction to establish a Construction Code Enforcing Agency for Gloucester Township. The agency consists of a Construction Official, Assistant Construction Official, Building Subcode Official, Plumbing Subcode Official, Electrical Subcode Official, Fire Protection Subcode Official, and other subcode officials for in areas such as the State Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs.

The Construction Official will be the chief administrator of the agency, followed by the Assistant Construction Official. Adjustments can be made as the township sees fit.

There will be a public hearing and final vote on a proposal to ban parking at all times in the Valleybrook Townhouses and Condominium complex on Masters Drive, from Fairway Drive to Doral Drive.

On first reading, council will consider parking regulations in the Quail Ridge Apartment Complex establishing handicapped parking spots and a 15 mph speed limit in the complex.

There are also nine items on the consent agenda. Various liquor licenses are up for renewal, including Timber Creek Liquor, The Palace, The Keep, Filomena Cucina Italiana, Amanda’s Bar None and Freeway Golf Club.
