Gloucester Township Man Arrested In $8K Burglary Spree: Police

A Blenheim man was arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in which more than $8,000 worth of items were stolen, police said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Blenheim man has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in which more than $8,000 worth of items were stolen, Gloucester Township police said on Wednesday.

Gloucester Township police received reports of several burglaries in Blenheim over the summer. Someone had been going into unlocked garages, sheds, vehicles and trailers to steal construction tools and landscaping equipment, police said.

Police said they identified 35-year-old Timothy Allen as the primary suspect in the case. When police found Allen, they said he was in possession of landscaping equipment that had recently been stolen, as well as drug paraphernalia. Allen was arrested and taken to Gloucester Township police headquarters.

During an ensuing investigation, police said they linked Allen to six burglaries in Blenheim, including those at both homes and commercial businesses.

Allen was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary, six counts of third-degree theft, criminal mischief, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Allen was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a Central First Appearance in accordance with the New Jersey Criminal Reform Act.
