Man Captured After Leading Police on Interstate Chase

Robert Ritter was wanted for armed robbery in Oaklyn, New Jersey, according to multiple reports.

A Blackwood man was arrested following a two-hour long police chase that ended when the suspect’s van flipped over in South Philly, according to NBC 10.

Robert Ritter, of Blackwood, was captured following a chase that began following an alleged armed robbery in Oaklyn, according to the report. Ritter allegedly used a shotgun in the robbery.

He then allegedly escaped in a white van, according to the Inquirer.

Ritter allegedly led police on chase that went from Oaklyn into Philadelphia through the Navy Yard before the chase returned to Deptford, New Jersey. The chase returned to Philadelphia before the van flipped.

Ritter was hospitalized. He was going to be extradited back to Oaklyn on three charges of aggravated assault, according to the report.

Ritter, 54, was wanted for robbery, according to njpen.com. He was also wanted on $7,000 in warrants out of several Camden County towns.
