Gloucester Township Man In His 70s Dies Of Coronavirus
There are now 979 cases of the coronavirus in Gloucester Township with 59 deaths.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Gloucester Township man in his 70s has died after testing positive for the coronavirus, Camden County officials announced on Friday.
He was one of two new deaths announced countywide. The other involved a Camden woman in her 30s, bringing the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Camden County to 566.
A Gloucester Township man in his 20s was among 49 new Camden County residents who have tested positive for the virus, officials said. There are now 979 cases of the coronavirus in Gloucester Township with 59 deaths. Countywide, 9,918 residents have tested positive for the virus.

“I am extremely saddened to learn that two more members of the Camden County family have lost their life due to COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “With the pandemic stretching more than six months, this is not the first holiday weekend we have experienced under this new normal. While we all want to be with our families and friends, please celebrate responsibly and do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 this Labor Day. Avoid large parties, wear a mask when in public, and always maintain social distancing.”
