Gloucester Township Police Collecting Food For Those In Need

The Thanksgiving Food Drive runs through Nov. 21, Gloucester Township police said this week.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police are now collecting canned food and non-perishable items for the needy as part of their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.

The food drive drop box will be set up at the police department’s watch desk inside the municipal building, 1261 Chews Landing Road, until Nov. 21, police said this week.

“This time of year is often a burdensome time for some families,” police said. “There are many parents that work nights and weekends to keep food on the table, but still struggle to make ends meet. Hunger knows no boundaries, it touches every community, including our own. When people think of those that face hunger they image a homeless person or someone poor and most times that's not the case. Help GTPD help others in need, and donate your canned food and non-perishable items today.”
