Gloucester Township Police Destroy 360 Pounds Of Medication

Gloucester Township police have destroyed more than 360 pounds of prescription medications that have been dropped off at the drug drop box.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police have destroyed more than 360 pounds of prescription medications that have been dropped off at the drug drop box in police headquarters, according to the township.

“Please take the time to collect all of your unwanted prescription drugs from medicine cabinets, kitchen drawers, and nightstands,” township officials said in the announcement. “Stop by the Gloucester Township Police Department anytime and place them into Project Medicine Drop box located at Watch Desk.”

The drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the police department's watch desk area. No liquids or syringes are accepted. The police department is located at 1261 Chews Landing Road.
