Gloucester Township Police Honor Retiring Detective
Detective John Ricci retired after a 25-year career. Hear his final radio call.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Gloucester Township Police Department bid Detective John Ricci farewell on Monday, sending him off to retirement with a celebration to honor his 25 years with the department.
Ricci, who wore badge number 133, was hired by the Gloucester Township Police Department in 1997 and served as a patrolman until 2004 when he was promoted to detective.
During his career, Ricci was assigned to the Special Investigations Unit, the Special Response Team, and the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force. He received numerous awards and letters of commendation.

In 2017 Det. Ricci was assigned to the Gloucester Township Professional Development Bureau, where he spent the remainder of his career.
"We are grateful for Det. Ricci dedicated service to the Gloucester Township Police Department and the community," the department said. "We wish Det. Ricci, a long and happy retirement!"
