Gloucester Township Police Receive 'Overwhelming' Response To Food Drive

Gloucester Township, NJ -- The Gloucester Township Police Department received an overwhelming response to its inaugural food drive.

It was so overwhelming, the entire Community Relations van was filled with food. So was the police car.

“The Gloucester Township Police Department would like to give a tremendous thank you to our residents who participated in our first ever food drive,” police said on Friday morning. “ … Our residents made it possible for many families to have a Thanksgiving dinner this year.”

The food was donated to the food bank in Gloucester Township, located at 123 East Church Street.

“This is just another example of our community coming together to help each other in a time of need,” police said. “The Gloucester Township Police Department is looking forward to the upcoming Holiday Season and continuing to partner with our residents to help others. Stay tuned for other opportunities to partner with us.”
