Gloucester Township Students To Shop With A Cop This Weekend

About 24 students will have the chance to shop for presents for their families at Target with the GTPD.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — It’s that time of year when youth in Gloucester Township have the chance to go shopping with police officers. The Gloucester Township Police Department, with a partnership with the Gloucester Township Target, will host its fifth annual Heroes and Helpers Program on Saturday.

In this case, the “Heroes” are the children, and the “Helpers” are the police officers. The event, also known as “Shop With a Cop,” takes place on Saturday, Dec. 9, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The children were chosen with the assistance of the Gloucester Township Public School District. A boy and a girl from each elementary public and private school were selected to participate. About 24 children will have the chance to buy gifts for their families.
