GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Halloween is right around the corner. That means it's almost time for Trunk or Treat. This year's event will take place on Friday, Oct. 25, at Veteran’s Park, 7 p.m., according to the township.

Trunk or Treat is when trick-or-treating is done from parked car to parked car. Parents can keep a more watchful eye on their children, while colorfully decorating their trunks for the occasion.

Only registered vehicle participants may pass candy out to our Trick-or-Treaters, but the event is open to everyone, not just registered vehicles. To register, visit glotwp.com.

Participating cars must be at Veteran’s Park by 6:30 p.m., and an adult must be with registered vehicles at all times. Volunteers will be there to assist. Children of adults who register their cars will enter the trick-or-treat course first, and prizes will be awarded for the best decorated cars.

Those who register must supply their own candy. The township will supply candy to anyone who runs out. In addition to trick or treating, there will be hayrides, games, a DJ and hot chocolate. For more information, contact Orlando Mercado at omercado@glotwp.com, or at 856-261-9513.
