Gloucester Township Will Seek New Redeveloper For GEMS Landfill Site

The previous redeveloper was absorbed by another company, which didn't inherit the rights to the project.

Gloucester Township will put out another request for qualifications/proposal to name a redeveloper for the Gloucester Environmental Management Services (GEMS) landfill site solar project.

Council approved a resolution to rescind a previous resolution that named AM Solar as the redeveloper for the project at its meeting Monday night.

The need arose after AM Solar was purchased by another company.

The new company was not automatically authorized to take over work on the project, Gloucester Township Business Administrator Tom Cardis said.
