Gloucester Township's First Blood Drive Of 2021 Set For March 29

Gloucester Township police will host the blood drive as the American Red Cross desperately needs blood amid the coronavirus pandemic.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township will host its first blood drive of the year as the American Red Cross remains in desperate need of blood amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“The American Red Cross New Jersey Region is experiencing a drastic cancellation of blood drives due to the coronavirus, and have lost thousands of units of blood donations,” Gloucester Township police said in a recent Facebook post. “Please help and donate.”

Gloucester Township will play host to an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 29 at the police department, 1261 Chews Landing Road.

Appointments are preferred, and can be made by visiting https://www.redcrossblood.org/ and using Sponsor Code: "gloucester township police" or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Residents are reminded that they should be fully hydrated and that they should bring their mask and identification.
