Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Stabbing In Gloucester Township: Prosecutor
The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital, authorities said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Deptford man faces a litany of charges, including attempted murder, after a Sunday night stabbing in Gloucester Township that hospitalized the victim, authorities said.
John Brant, Jr. entered custody Monday morning. Officials placed him in the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending a forthcoming pretrial detention hearing.
Township police responded to the reported stabbing at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday in the La Bonne Vie neighborhood in Sicklerville. Officers found a 26-year-old man suffering from stab wounds, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).

Officials took the victim to Cooper University Hospital.
During the investigation, detectives learned that a male suspect stabbed the victim outside on the unit block of Dickenson Drive, the CCPO said. Authorities identified Brant as the suspect.

Brant, 30, was charged with attempted murder (first-degree), aggravated assault (second-degree), aggravated assault with a weapon (third-degree), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (third-degree) and unlawful possession of a weapon (fourth-degree).
