Grants Available For Gloucester Twp. Businesses Impacted By COVID-19
The applicant must meet certain criteria, the township said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Businesses impacted by COVID-19 may be eligible to get a $5,000 grant from Gloucester Township, the township said.
Owners must have established operations in Gloucester Township on or before Dec. 31, 2019, the township said.
Applicants must also provide several forms; commit to using the funds for payroll, rent/mortgage, utilities, advertising/marketing, insurance and/or costs associated with complying with local and state social distancing policies, the township added.

"The business must [also] document that it will retain at least one permanent job held by a low- and moderate-income person and that the jobs would be lost" without the grant, according to a newsletter article describing the grant.

Funding for Gloucester Township's small business grants comes from a $425,000 grant the township received in CARES Act funding, which is a federally-funded assistance program that was created amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 44 grants have been awarded to Gloucester Township businesses to date, according to the township.
