Great Escape: Philly Is 'Springtime in Paris' Again
Enjoy fine arts all weekend long in Center City.

It seems Paris is in the air this year in Philadelphia.
First, the Philadelphia International Flower Show brought us the spectacular Springtime in Paris.
Now, through May 1, the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) shines a spotlight on Philly's arts and culture scene with a focus on the City of Lights.

Head to the Kimmel Center for the Eiffel Tower Light Show tonight, Saturday and Sunday, offered each night at 7 and 10 p.m. The Kimmel Center Plaza is transformed into a Parisian street, with an 81-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower. From 5 to 7 p.m., sip free samples of French wines. Stop in early for a brief French lesson at 5 p.m. tonight.
And after you've strolled through mini-Paris, hang out for a cash bar and free music.
Tonight will feature the Global Soul Lounge, perfect to soothe your soul after a long workweek. On Saturday, listen to sounds of soul songstress Nicky Egan. Performances both nights start at 10 p.m. in the Commonwealth Plaza at the Kimmel Center.
If something formal is more your thing, grab tickets (starting at $47 ) for Peter Nero and the Philly Pops as they present Springtime in Paris, featuring music from the early 20th century.
No matter what you choose this weekend, you will escape to the City of Lights while relaxing in the City of Brotherly Love.
