The Camden County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the blaze. But it doesn't appear suspicious, police said.

As is customary after local fires, the Gloucester Township Police Department reminded residents to make sure their smoke alarms are working.

"Smoke alarms are a key part of any fire escape plan," the GTPD said. "When there is smoke, there is fire which can spread quickly. Working smoke alarms give you early warning, so you can escape quickly."
