'Heavy Police Presence' At Some Eastern Camden Co. Schools, Officials Say
The affected schools were also in lockout mode for about an hour, according to authorities.
BERLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Berlin Township Schools were in lockout mode for about an hour on Tuesday, authorities said.
The lockout was a precautionary measure after a report surfaced of a "subject in the area having [a] mental health crisis," the Berlin Township Police Department said.
The report also led to a "heavy police presence" at the township's schools, police said.

"There was never a direct threat made towards the schools," police added.
