Highland Boys Basketball Team Riding 7-Game Winning Streak To 10-2 Record
The Tartans have six games left before the cutoff date to make this year's playoffs.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Since it suffered back-to-back losses in late December, the Highland Regional High School boys basketball team is on a seven-game winning streak, according to box scores posted on nj.com.
The Tartans are 10-2, and have not lost a game this calendar year. Highland started strong, scoring at least 88 points in each of its first three games, but dropped consecutive road games in December.
First, it was a 79-73 loss at Rancocas Valley on Dec. 23. That was followed by a 72-60 defeat at Cherry Hill East on Dec. 27.

The Tartans bounced back with an 85-43 win at Cherry Hill West on Dec. 29, followed by a 60-46 win at home against Lindenwold on Dec. 30.
Since then, Highland has beaten Kingsway, 81-75; won at Glassboro, 78-86; won at Hammonton, 70-51; and downed Williamstown by 10, 68-58.

In its most recent outing on Tuesday night, Highland defeated Clearview, 70-65. Daniel Cooper led the way in that one with 20 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block. Zafir Brower had 19 points, seven assists and a pair of steals.
Highland has 11 games left this regular season, starting with a trip to on Donovan Catholic (7-4) on Saturday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m.
There are six games remaining before the Feb. 4 cutoff date to qualify for this year’s playoffs, which begin at the end of February.
