Highland High School Girls Soccer Team Earns No. 2 Seed In Playoffs

All 3 Black Horse Pike Regional School District teams will compete in the South Jersey Group 3 playoffs.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- All three Black Horse Pike Regional High School girls soccer team still have the chance to win he NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 championship, according to nj.com.

Highland Regional is the team most likely to hoist the crown from the district, as it has earned the No. 2 seed in the 16-team tournament. It will host No. 15 Cumberland Regional in the first round, to be played by Nov. 1.

Highland (12-5) holds two victories over Cumberland (4-13-1) this season. The Tartans defeated the Colts, 2-0, on Sept. 16, and 4-0 on Oct. 6.

The only team seeded higher than Highland is Delsea, which holds a record of 15-2-1 and hosts No. 16 Cherry Hill East in the first round.

Timber Creek is the No. 8 seed, and hosts No. 9 Seneca in the first round.

Timber Creek (12-5) and Seneca (11-7) split their regular season meetings.

The Chargers picked up the first win, 2-1 on Sept. 23. The Golden Eagles won the second go-round, by a score of 2-0, on Oct. 10.

Triton is the No. 14 seed, and visits No. 3 Mainland in the first round. These teams have not yet played each other this season.

Triton (7-9-1) and won four games by shutout, with an additional shutout in a 0-0 tie against Cumberland.

Mainland's (13-2-3) only two losses came 2-1 at the hands of Holy Cross, and 1-0 at the hands of Haddonfield.

The quarterfinals are set for Nov. 4, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 8. The championship game is scheduled for Nov. 10.
