Highland Jazz Band Competing for Chance to Play With Philly Pops
The band is playing for a shot to perform at the All South Jersey Jazz Festival.
Gloucester Township, NJ -- The Highland Regional High School Jazz band is competing for a chance to perform with the Philly Pops.
It is one of six finalists in the All South Jersey Jazz Festival, along with Bishop Eustace, Overbrook, Shawnee, Deptford and Washington Township, according to the Courier Post.
The winner will perform two songs with the Philly Pops during the festival on Monday, May 23, 7 p.m. at Investors Bank Performing Arts Center, 519 Hurffville-Crosskeys Road, Sewell.

Each school’s submission will be played on WNJC 1360 and WWDB 860 from 7 to 8 a.m. on April 27 and 29, May 2, 4, and 6, according to the report.
Voting takes place at www.1360radio.com and on the All South Jersey Jazz Festival Facebook page.
